Excellent cinematographic works will be honored, encouraging new talents of Vietnam and the Asia-Pacific region.

Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh said by hosting the festival, Da Nang wishes to promote the integration and cooperation of the cinema industry.

“Hosting the first Da Nang Asian Film Festival, Da Nang city wishes to create a regional and international cinema brand. This is an opportunity for professional exchange between domestic and foreign cinematographers and seeking opportunities for cooperation in production, expanding the film market, as well as promoting the image of Vietnam and Da Nang,” Chinh said. 

The Da Nang Asian Film Festival will run until Saturday with films vying for the Asian-ASEAN Film Award and the Vietnam Film Award.
