Themed “Bringing Da Nang to Asia and bringing Asia to Da Nang” the film festival will present Asian Film Awards and Vietnamese Film awards. The Jury consists of famous artists and experts of Vietnamese and international cinematography, such as Moon So-ri, a Korean actress, director and screenwriter, People's Artist Nhu Quynh, and People's Artist Lan Huong.

“Artists like Lan Huong hope to have more events like this so that we can introduce Vietnamese culture to the world. Organized by the Cinema Promotion Association and the People's Committee of Da Nang, the first Da Nang Asian Film Festival - 2023 is a great encouragement and contribution to Vietnam's cinematography,” said People's Artist Lan Huong.

During the festival there will be an array of activities, including 89 film screenings and premieres of the film crews, 3-night outdoor movie show at APEC Park, exchanges with famous Vietnamese artists, and workshops on "Developing the film industry-Building a favourable film-making environment in Da Nang,” and "Japanese cinema-experience and direction of cooperation with Vietnam."
