The Italian Embassy in Vietnam said that the shipment, consisting of 88,000 masks and other medical items donated by Vietnamese associations, businesses, and individuals, has arrived in Milan. The Vietnam-Italy Friendship Association has already donated over 40,000 face masks.

The Italian ambassador said Vietnam has affirmed its position as a strategic partner of Italy, closely cooperating and providing valuable assistance.

Italy is among the nations hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, with nearly 129,000 infections as of Monday and nearly 16,000 deaths.
