At a ceremony on Wednesday, the delegates reviewed the National Assembly’s performance this tenure and over the past 75 years, and acknowledged the wise leadership of the Party and State seen in the election results.

According to Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, the National Assembly played an increasingly important role in addressing Vietnam’s major issues during the 35-year “Doi Moi” reformed period. Legislative debates and presentations have shifted toward democracy and lived up to people’s expectations. Ms. Thinh urged the Vinh Long deputies to honor their responsibility to make laws and convey public opinions to State agencies.
