The data was revealed at the 25th Conference of the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation in Hanoi yesterday. The Steering Commiee has directed its branches to increase blood donation sources by organizing about 5,000 reserve blood donation clubs and rare blood clubs with more than 137,000 members.

Health Minister Dao Hong Lan said: "All blood donation campaigns and events have abided by safety requirement and epidemic prevention. Activities to take care of blood donors have been carried out methodically and thoughtfully while the medical workers, communicators, and volunteers for blood donation have been well trained.”
