(VOVworld) - South Korean Health Ministry reported on Sunday that 7 new cases have been found, taking the total number of infected cases to 145.

According to the Ministry, 4 of 7 cases contracted the virus when they were under treatment at Samsung medical clinic in Seoul which is in the list of MERS affected hospitals. 2 others were infected at two different hospitals and the last one contracted the virus by sharing the same ambulance with a MERS patient. So far, there have been 14 deaths, all involving elderly patients or people suffering serious ailments. The outbreak is the largest outside Saudi Arabia, where the disease was first identified in humans in 2012.
