(VOVworld) – A seminar was held on Monday at the High Command of the Vietnam’s Air Defense and Air Force to analyze the historical and present day value of the first victory of the Air Force and Air-defense Missile force in 1965.


Delegates analyzed the intentions and plans of the American army during the destructive war in northern Vietnam as well as the strategic views of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh as they led the activities of the Air Force and other army forces to success.
Lieutenant General Phuong Minh Hoa, Commander of the Vietnam’s Air Defense and Air Force, said: “The first victory was of great significance. Its lessons should be further analyzed. The Air Force and Air-defense Missile Force were strong-willed and had the capability to protect the nation’s air, sea, and island sovereignty under any circumstances.”
