They are Red River Delta Steamed Rice Cake (Banh Te), Steak and Eggs (Bo Ne), Steamed Buns (Banh Bao), Steamed Rice Rolls Stuffed with Pork and Mushrooms (Banh Cuon), Beef Stew (Bo Kho) and Hue Breakfast Noodle Soup (Bun Bo Hue).

Banh Te is a savory rice cake that is mainly associated with northern Vietnam and the Red River Delta. It consists of rice flour dough and a pork-based filling that also incorporates wood ear mushrooms, onions, and spices. The cylinder-shaped cakes are wrapped in banana or dong (phrynium) leaves before they are steamed or boiled.

Bo Ne is a traditional Vietnamese dish that’s especially popular in Nha Trang. It’s made with cuts of beef such as skirt steak that’s marinated in spices and comes served on a sizzling hot cast iron plate with fried eggs, onions, chili sauce, and a dollop of pate.

Banh Bao usually consists of seasoned ground pork, mushrooms, hard-boiled eggs, and slices of sausage. All the ingredients are neatly wrapped into a light yeasted dough to form round balls which are then steamed.
