The Vietnam-Asia Digital Transformation Summit 2024 said that with ultra-reliable connection with almost no latency, 5G technology is creating a favorable environment for online business applications to take place faster. The 5G network can support billions of Internet of Things connections simultaneously, so businesses can create a sensor network to monitor the production process, or create new applications.

Nguyen Thanh Hai, Director of the Center for Network Strategy and Technology Innovation, of Viettel Group, said: “5G technology can accelerate the green transition, enable the creation of smart energy grids, help us manage and use energy more effectively, and make optimal decisions.”

In Vietnam, the commercialization of 5G technology will serve the development of many industries and sectors. The Ministry of Information and Communications said it will establish a 5G innovation facility.
