(VOV) – More than 60 traditional costumes of ASEAN countries have been on display at 4^th ASEAN Traditional Textile event which kicked off in the northern province of Thai Nguyen on Saturday.

Themed “Traditions, Innovations and Interactions: Paving a Creative Path for Traditional Textiles of Southeast Asia”, the event included a number of activities including workshops, exhibitions and demonstrations of the trade villages and their culture, fashion shows and fairs. The event is an opportunity to introduce the quintessence of cultural values of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups, promote investment and tourism and helps raise Vietnam’s position in the regional and international arena, contribute to boosting the establishment of ASEAN community by 2015.
