The new infections brought the national count to 2,985, including 1,607 domestic cases. There have been 37 new community infections since April 27. So far, 1,549 patients have recovered and 35 have died.

One of the two local cases works in Da Nang city. He tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 on Monday, and is receiving treatment at the Da Nang Lung Hospital.

The other resides in Bac Tu Liem district, Hanoi. He was on the same flight from Da Nang to Hanoi on April 29 with two Chinese experts, who later were confirmed to have COVID-19. He tested positive on Monday, and is receiving treatment at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hanoi’s Dong Anh district.
