The event marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the US and the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27). The exhibition’s three parts are themed “Anticipating diplomatic relations establishment”, “Cooperation and development” and “Firmly advancing into the new era.”

The US Embassy in Vietnam presented 30 photos, symbolizing the number of years of bilateral diplomatic ties. More than 200 sets of documents and data on war relics were sent to the National Archives Center 3 by the Vietnam Center at Texas Tech University and the "Heart of Vietnamese Soldiers" organization.

Colonel, writer Dang Vuong Hung, founder and President of the organization, told VOV5 how relics and witnesses have been found. “Based on the documents sent by the US side, we compiled them into many short articles and summaries and posted them on social networks like Facebook, Zalo, and YouTube. From these pages, letters, diaries, and addresses written in the memorial book, volunteers from the Organization "Vietnamese Soldier's Heart", "Forever 20 Club" and "Resistance Memorabilia" went to villages, hamlets, wards, or communes to find families and asked local authorities to verify the search."

"In 2023, we found 10 witnesses, in 2024 15 witnesses, and this year alone we found 22 witnesses. That is a positive result,” Mr. Hung said.
