Greetings extended to US on 249th Independence Day

(VOVWORLD) - On the occasion of the 249th anniversary of the United States' Independence Day (July 4, 1776 – July 4, 2025) and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the United States (July 12, 1995 – July 12, 2025), on Friday, General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh extended congratulatory messages to US President Donald Trump.

On this occasion, Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man also sent messages of congratulations to Senate President James David Vance and Speaker of the House Mike Johnson. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son sent a congratulatory message to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

In their messages, Vietnam’s top leaders reaffirmed that Vietnam consistently considers the United States one of its key strategic partners. They emphasized Vietnam's readiness to work with the US to further advance the Vietnam–US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in a practical and effective manner, bringing tangible benefits to the peoples of both nations and contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and development regionally and globally.
