British Prime Minister Boris Johnson declared that jihadists have failed to shake the world's belief in freedom and democracy and failed to drive the nations apart, or cause people to abandon their values, or to live in permanent fear.
Queen Elizabeth II, in a separate message, expressed her thoughts and prayers and those of the Royal family and the entire nation to the victims, survivors and families affected.
Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission paid tribute to those who lost their lives and honored those who risked everything to help the victims.
On Twitter, European Council President Charles Michel affirmed that the European Union (EU) stood with the US and the US President to fight against terrorism and extremism.
French President Emmanuel Macron tweeted that “We will never forget. We will always fight for freedom."
Italian President Sergio Materrella said that Italy stood in solidarity with the United States and its other allies to counter any terrorist threat.
Permanent Mission of Russia to the United Nations also issued a statement affirming that Russia is ready to resume anti-terrorism cooperation with the United States. Russian Ambassador to the United Nations Anatoly Antonov emphasized that Russia shared the loss with the United States in the September 11 terrorist disaster and proposed that the two countries resume cooperation in the global fight against terrorism despite remaining problems in the relationship between the two countries.
