(VOVworld) –Senator Ted Cruz of Texas won the Kansas Republican caucuses on Saturday.

With 53% of precincts reporting, Cruz had 49% of the vote, followed by Donald Trump with 24.7% and Senator Marco Rubio of Florida with 14.8%. Ohio governor John Kasich had 9.9%. Ted Cruz supports the conservative movement most strongly in the US presidential race and he also dominated in a demo poll among conservatives. The results showed that Cruz will be able to catch up to GOP frontrunner Donald Trump.
