(VOVworld) – A conference of municipal and provincial fatherland fronts took place today/Wednesday in the Central Highland City of Buon Ma Thuot to discuss operations for the last 6 months of the year. Reports presented to the conference showed that over the first half of this year, fatherland fronts at all levels and affiliated organizations successfully conducted many effective campaigns and movements. Many focused on cultural liefstyles in residential areas, supporting poor and disadvantaged people, and implement social welfare programs. Fatherland fronts across the country have been making the “2012 Vietnam-Laos Friendship Year” and the “Vietnam-Cambodian Friendship Year”.

The delegates debated and shared their experiences in implementing solidarity policies to gather people from every section of society, regardless of their differences or anything else. President of the Fatherland Front’s Central Committee, Huynh Dam said: "This conference has enabled us to exchange our experiences and draw lessons from across the country to provide the central authorities with a firm base. This wil help them to improve management procedures and strengthen the Vietnam’s Fatherland Front to address the Party’s and the people’s requirements and desires."
