(VOVworld) – A ceremony to launch activities to mark the 100th birth anniversary of hero Ly Tu Trong opened on Sunday in Ho Chi Minh city by the Youth Union. Ly Tu Trong is the first communist youth of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. The young and undaunted revolutionary died at the age 17 and will live forever in the hearts of Vietnamese young people. The launching ceremony called on youth union members and organizations to follow the hero’s example and to raise fund to build a memorial site for him in his hometown of Ha Tinh. The Youth Union also called on members to work harder to contribute to the fatherland.
