Medical staff operating in the capital implement a number of large-scale real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests between August 8 and August 12. It is anticipated that the 75,000 people who returned to Hanoi from Da Nang, a fresh COVID-19 hotspot, will participate in the campaign.

A total of 130 cases who recently arrived back from Da Nang partake in the RT-PCR test campaign at a cultural house in Yen Hoa ward of Cau Giay district on August 10.

Of all the methods currently available, the RT-PCR method has proven to be the most accurate way of detecting the COVID-19.

The RT-PCR method helps to detect COVID-19 cases, with only a swab taken from the nose and throat needed.
