(VOVWORLD) - An exhibition entitled “Lighting up the Red Flame” is taking place at the Hoa Lo Prison Relic Site, as part of activities to mark the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947-2024).

The exhibition tells touching stories of resilience and the heroic sacrifice of Vietnamese individuals who were captured and imprisoned by the enemy. The event also aims to offer gratitude to the wounded and fallen soldiers.

The exhibition is divided into sections called "The First Gunshots", "Upholding a complete vow," and "Historical marks lasting forever."

"The First Gunshots," shows documents and images of revolutionary movements in Vietnam after the Communist Party of Vietnam was established on February 3, 1930.

The "A Solemn Oath" section offers insights into the lives and careers of Party and State leaders such as Ha Huy Tap, Nguyen Van Cu, Vo Van Tan, Phan Dang Luu, Nguyen Huu Tien, and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai. Despite being imprisoned, tortured and exiled, these exemplary individuals maintained their unwavering fighting spirit. Even at the execution grounds, they stood firm and unyielding.

In the nation's songs of victory, there are immortal love stories of revolutionary soldiers. When imprisoned, love gave the soldiers even more strength to overcome their exile.

In the "Historical marks lasting forever" section, visitors see images of historical sites where enemies once set up execution grounds and memorial houses to honor the Party's exemplary members. These sites have become "red addresses" contributing to educating the revolutionary tradition for many generations.
