He represented Vietnam’s U30 artists at the Fabriano Watercolor Festival in Milan, Italy, and also received Third Prize at an international watercolor exhibition in France.
Earlier this year, he was granted the International Watercolor Masters certificate from the Royal Watercolour Society in the UK. He achieved all of this by the time he was 25, just five years after he started pursuing painting as a profession.
Doan Quoc explains why he chose to work with watercolor: “Watercolor gives me freedom to create, it fits my personality and painting style. Several artists have used watercolors but only to sketch rather than use it as a main material. I want to build a whole world for watercolor with other young artists.”
