At the 12th National Congress of the Youth Union in December, 2022, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said: "Young people must be pioneers in labor, production, creativity, implementing the policy of national digital transformation, and developing the digital economy."

This year's Youth Month is the first month to realize the General Secretary’s guideline.

Acting President Vo Thi Anh Xuan told the Youth Month launching ceremony in Binh Thuan province: “Digital transformation is an important and urgent task to meet the global trend and to deeply integrate Vietnam into the world. In this task, young people have all the necessary qualities to be the pioneers. This is a new and challenging task, requiring focused direction from the Youth Union’s Central Committee, strong determination, dynamism, and creativity from Youth Union units, and the active participation of young people nationwide to create a far-reaching movement and make Vietnam a stable, prosperous country able to pilot new technologies by 2030.”

Youth Union officials must change their mindset about digital transformation and more actively apply digital technology in their work. Youth Union units at all levels should register with the local administration to take on new tasks related to building a digital government.”
