Organizers told a press conference that the award honors people aged under 35 who gained excellent achievements in 10 fields. This year organizers received 156 applications from 57 units and two self-nominated candidates.

Le Xuan Son, Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong newspaper and Director of Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund, said: “Profiles of 20 prominent young Vietnamese will be posted to Tien Phong newspaper and other newspapers for young people to read, understand, interact, and vote for them. This voting result is one of the data for the Voting Council to select prominent young Vietnamese.”
The winners will be commended at a ceremony in March in Hanoi.
