Khanh Hoa province inaugurated a new direct flight between Cam Ranh and Busan, South Korea on Tuesday. Cam Ranh International Airport receives 29 flights a day from South Korea. The high frequency of flights reflects a growing demand.

Additional flights between Khanh Hoa and key places in South Korea will enhance Nha Trang’s tourism growth. Cung Quynh Anh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province, said: “The steady growth of flights from South Korea to Khanh Hoa creates an opportunity to attract more international visitors. Many South Korean famtrip groups have already visited Vietnamese localities. This is an opportunity for Khanh Hoa to introduce its distinctive destinations to partners and promote the image of Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa to Korean tourists.”

Starting this month, Vietnam Airlines will operate four round-trip flights per week – on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday – from Ho Chi Minh City to Denpasar, the tourism capital of Bali, Indonesia. Starting in July, there will be seven flights per week. The Ho Chi Minh City-Bali route expands Vietnam Airlines’ network in Southeast Asia and taps into the strong post-COVID recovery of tourist travel.

During General Secretary To Lam’s official visit to Russia and participation in the 80th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War Victory on May 9, Vietnam Airlines announced the resumption of its Hanoi-Moscow flights which will facilitate trade and tourism and reaffirm the two countries’ commitment to strengthening strategic connectivity. The Hanoi-Moscow route will have two flights a week, on Tuesday and Thursday, using Boeing 787 aircraft. Vietnam Airlines plans to increase to three flights per week starting in July.

With 15 new or resumed international routes since the beginning of the year, Vietnam Airlines is playing a key role in boosting trade and connecting Vietnam with the world.
