Under the theme “Heritage – Connection – Era,” the festival honors the thousand-year cultural legacy of Thang Long – Hanoi. It is a grand celebration of culture, a journey of experience and a space where the past, present, and future intertwine. Here, every resident and visitor can deeply feel the cultural heartbeat of the capital.

Ms. Le Thi Anh Mai, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, said: “The Thang Long – Hanoi Festival 2025 is an opportunity for the capital to demonstrate its responsibility in preserving cultural heritage by promoting creativity to transform them into sources of inspiration for culture, art, tourism, production, trade, and services. In other words, it encourages the creation of new values on the foundation of national culture and arts. This aligns with Hanoi’s roadmap to becoming a creative hub in Southeast Asia, a place where core cultural values harmonize with modern life.”
Featuring over 30 cultural, arts, and tourism activities, the festival will be held across iconic heritage and creative spaces of the capital, such as Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Ngoc Son Temple, the Temple of Literature, the Hanoi Museum, and Hoan Kiem Lake.

Mr. Pham Hoang Giang, Chief Director of the Festival’s opening ceremony, said: “We aim to create diverse and rich experiences for visitors across multiple venues. Fans of the traditional Ao Dai can visit the Hanoi Museum, those who enjoy exhibitions or workshops can head to the Temple of Literature, while history enthusiasts can explore the Thang Long Imperial Citadel to watch performances depicting the thousand-year history of Thang Long – Hanoi.”
The Thang Long – Hanoi Festival 2025 is expected to become an annual event, establishing itself as a beloved cultural rendezvous for domestic and international visitors alike.
