The exhibition features 54 outstanding works selected from the photo book “Colors of life of Vietnam’s ethnic groups”, which portray the daily life, customs, culture, and beauty of 36 of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. These photos were taken by members of the Hai Au Women Photographers’ Club.

Nguyen Hong Nga, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City Photographers’ Association and Deputy Head of the Hai Au Women Photographers’ Club, said: “We spent two years selecting photos for the book ‘Colors of life of Vietnam’s ethnic groups’ and this exhibition. It was challenging to select representative photos of these 36 ethnic groups. The Dao people have more than twenty sub-groups. We wanted to feature every ethnicity from the north, the South, the Central Highlands, and remote mountain areas we’ve visited over the past 35 years.”

The photos capture the diversity of Vietnam’s nature, people, and cultures from all regions. Tra My, a student at RMIT University, said: “What impressed me most were the colors. All the photos are brilliant. The portraits capture facial expressions and the natural settings of these people.”

Since its establishment on October 6, 1990, the Hai Au Women Photographers’ Club has participated in hundreds of domestic and international exhibitions, winning nearly 500 awards. Ten of the photographers featured in the exhibition hold international titles.
