Mai Thi Y Nhi, Director of the My Phuong Food Company in Hoa Vang district, says her company has sold 600 tons of baked coconut cakes, including 200 tons for export.
“Our production has increased 30% since last year as both domestic and export orders have risen up. We have extended our working hours and recruited seasonal workers. We have produced new products to meet customer demand during Tet. Continuous improvement of our production line has increased our output. Salaries and bonuses for workers are assured this year," said Nhi.
At the Daiwa Vietnam Company, a manufacturer of recreational fishing equipment in Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, workers are working overtime to fulfill year-end orders. A pile of backed-up orders is good news for the company and its workers.
Do Thi Huong Dieu is a worker at the Daiwa Vietnam Company: “The company has orders through March 2025 and we’re working overtime to fulfill them. We’ll receive a Tet bonus and a 13th month salary. The company will distribute Tet gifts and provide free vehicles to take us home for Tet. My work here is stable and the company’s policies are great."
Many businesses have announced Tet bonuses to encourage their employees to engage with the company. The Da Nang municipal Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs and the Labor Federation have joined forces to give 20,000 Tet gifts to workers in difficult circumstances and arrange buses to take workers home for Tet.
Nguyen Thanh Vinh, Deputy Head of the Employment Policy Department of the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, said: “Many businesses have launched activities to encourage their workers. The city’s Labor Federation, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, and the Management Board of High-Tech Parks and Industrial Parks have co-organized Tet programs for workers to make sure they have essential Tet goods and create conditions for them to return home for Tet. We want the workers to feel secure and committed to their company.”
