(VOVworld) -  The APEC delegates on Monday continued discussions on food security, oceans and fisheries, economic activities, and trade and investment as part of the first Senior Officials’ Meeting of APEC (SOM-1) in Nha Trang. The delegates also debated economic and technical cooperation, and budget management.

The first Senior Officials’ Meeting of APEC (SOM-1) and related meetings are underway from February 18^th to March 3^rd. Representatives of APEC have proposed initiatives to promote sustainable development and improve the competitiveness and creativity of small and medium-sized enterprises. Ensuring food security and sustainable agriculture despite climate change is at the top of the SOM-1 agenda.
