(VOVworld) – Vietnam has proposed several important agendas on the ninth working day in the first Senior Officials’ Meeting of APEC (SOM-1), which is underway in Nha Trang city.

Vietnam’s proposals include an action plan for the APEC strategic framework on rural-urban development to strengthen food security and quality growth, an action plan for the APEC program on food security and climate change, and the APEC instructions on sustainable tourism and framework for favorable trans-boundary ecommerce. These proposals have been applauded by participants at Sunday’s meeting.

The same day, APEC senior officials also discuss policy partnership on food safety, oceans and fisheries, government procurement, trade and investment, budget management, and competition policy and law.
