VOV Deputy Director General Tran Minh Hung
(VOVworld) – On Tuesday, Radio the Voice of Vietnam began the construction of a 10 KW FM radio station in Phu Quoc island district, Kien Giang province. Deputy Director General Tran Minh Hung said at the ground-breaking ceremony that once the 1.6 million USD station will be put into operation in 5 months’ time, it will have a coverage of over 100km. The Phu Quoc station will increase the radio coverage of political, socio-economic, cultural, educational, and health care programs to meet the needs of local people and the Party and government’s communications programs. Mr. Hung said:
“The project’s management board and related agencies must gather all their strength to ensure the highest technical quality of the construction. Once it’s completed, the broadcasting station should create an additional highlight for Phu Quoc Island on top of its most important mission to serve the Party and government’s communications.”
