The three Vietnamese top leaders said Vietnam views the US as a partner of strategic importance.

Building on the bilateral cooperation progress over the recent past, General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said they believe  that with Donald Trump’s leadership and support, the Vietnam-US relationship will continue to flourish on the basis of respecting each other's independence, sovereignty and political institutions, for peace, stability, cooperation and sustainable development in the region and the world, especially on the occasion of the two countries celebrating the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations (1995-2025) and two years of their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The same day, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan also sent a congratulatory letter to US Vice President James David Vance.
