“Voting is a sacred right and responsibility of citizens nationwide. This election for the 16th National Assembly is even more significant as it marks the 80th anniversary of the first general election of the Vietnamese National Assembly," the top legislator said. 

I am so confident that voters nationwide will turn out in large numbers, vote correctly and completely, choosing talented and virtuous individuals worthy of being representatives in the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels. By doing so, our country will  step into a new era, an era of national rise, and successfully implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress,” Mr. Man added.

Ho Chi Minh City voters are set to elect 38 National Assembly representatives of a total of 64 candidates, the highest number nationwide.

According to the registered list, among the 64 candidates, 24 hold doctoral degrees, reflecting the quality of the candidates and the expectations of the city's voters for those who will represent their will and aspirations in the next term. In addition, voters in Ho Chi Minh City will elect 125 representatives to the People's Councils at municipal and commune or ward levels.
