This trip is aimed at strengthening the friendship, mutual understanding, and trust between the Vietnam Coast Guard and the Japan Coast Guard.

Under the command of Colonel Le Thanh Hai, Deputy Commander of Coast Guard Region 1, Ship 8004 will visit Japan and engage in courtesy calls with local authorities and the leadership of the Japan Coast Guard.

The two sides will share experience and conduct joint search, rescue, and fire prevention and control exercises.

The Vietnamese delegation will visit cultural sites in Japan.
