According to the plan, from the 29th day of the twelfth lunar month to the ninth day of the first lunar month, corresponding to February 16-25, 2026, large ocean-going cruise ships will dock at the Ha Long International Passenger Port, carrying international tourists to visit and experience the UNESCO-listed bay and other key attractions in Quang Ninh.
A highlight of the program will be a ceremonial welcome for the first international cruise visitors of the new year, scheduled for February 17, the first day of the Lunar New Year.
The event will be organized by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, showing local hospitality, creating a positive impression among international guests, and reinforcing Ha Long’s standing in the regional and global cruise tourism.
Quang Ninh aims to attract 22 million tourists, including 5.2 million international visitors in 2026. Total tourism revenue is targeted at 2.5 billion USD.
