A sharp increase during the upcoming Christmas and New Year period is expected thanks to the introduction of new flights from China, Chinese Taipei, and Mongolia. There has also been an increase in flights to Phu Quoc from South Korea, Malaysia, and Hong Kong (China).

According to a recent report from the Kien Giang provincial Department of Tourism, the number of tourists to Kien Giang this year is estimated to surpass 8.5 million, marking a substantial 15.3% increase compared to the same period last year, and exceeding the annual target by 2.8%.

Additionally, 600,000 international visitors reflect an impressive growth of 200% over 2022, surpassing the annual target by 63.8%.

Kien Giang aims to welcome 9.2 million visitors in 2024, including 680,000 foreigners, with a projected total revenue exceeding 820 million USD.
