(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment hosted a conference this week to discuss a draft of Vietnam’s national spatial planning (MSP) until 2030 with a vision to 2045.

The planning aims to turn Vietnam into a strong maritime nation, enriching from the sea, and developing sustainably.

The plan will act as the foundation for the management and use of natural resources, protecting the environment, conserving marine ecosystems, ensuring national defense and sovereignty over seas and islands, the formation of strong marine economic sectors towards creating livelihoods for people and turning Vietnam into a sea-based strong nation.
