The plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050 said Ba Ria-Vung Tau aims to become a centrally-run city by 2030 and maintain its position among the 10 localities nationwide with the largest GRDP and state budget contribution.
The plan is mapped out based on the province’s potential and competitive advantages, in particular the Cai Mep-Thi Vai deep-water port, which has one of the highest port growth rates in the world and is capable of receiving super container ships.
Ba Ria-Vung Tau is taking steps to establish a national-level logistics hub and a free trade zone centered on the seaport in Cai Mep Ha.
