Great national solidarity is one of Vietnam's most important resources. It has enabled the nation to overcome challenges and achieve successes in national renewal and development.
Projects demonstrating unity
In Xom Lon hamlet, Chau Dien commune, CauKe district, Tra Vinh province, Khmer residents are celebrating the new wide road that now connects their communities. The 1,500-meter, three-meter-wide asphalt road was completed thanks to land donations by 30 local households.
Resident Thach Thi Sa Nguone said: "I’m a farmer. If the roads are bad it’s difficult for us to sell our agricultural products. When I learned that the State wanted to build a road, I willingly donated my land. This road is for everyone in the hamlet. It will benefit our children and future generations. Together, we’re building a new countryside, and I’m happy to have good roads."

In another project, the 500kV Circuit-3 power transmission line from Quang Trach of Quang Binh province to Pho Noi of Hung Yen province, was completed in just seven months—a significant national achievement. This massive infrastructure project involving round-the-clock shifts and the commitment of tens of thousands of workers, addressed power shortages in northern Vietnam and will ensure energy security for years to come.
Dr. Nguyen Minh Phong attributed the project’s “lightning-fast” construction to the mobilization of the united strength of political and social organizations and people’s support.
He said: "The inauguration of the 500kV line was a milestone for the Vietnamese economy, representing significant advancements in awareness, technical capacity, and organizational efficiency in infrastructure development. If we continue to uphold this spirit, it will drive further infrastructure breakthroughs, and serve as a foundation for Vietnam's steady development."
Across the country, the solidarity of the entire political system, businesses, and citizens has enabled Vietnam to gain impressive socio-economic achievements over the past 10 months. This progress underpins the government’s goal to achieve 7.5% GDP growth in the fourth quarter and at least 7% for the year, as outlined by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh during the recent National Assembly session.
Solidarity to usher in a new era
Throughout Vietnam’s history, the power of great national unity has been a vital resource, empowering the Party, the people, and the army to overcome challenges and advance Vietnam's renewal and development.
Speaking at the National Great Solidarity Festival in Quan Thanh Ward, Hanoi, on Tuesday, General Secretary To Lam said Vietnam now has the necessary conditions to seize an historic opportunity and enter a new era of national rise.
Vietnam aims to become a developed, high-income nation. The Communist Party of Vietnam is preparing to organize the 14th National Party Congress and other congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, to lay out plans for this new phase of development.
General Secretary Lam said he believes that the mobilization of human and financial resources, combined with the strength of national unity and advances in science and technology, make Vietnam well-positioned to grow.
He called on citizens to uphold the revolutionary spirit, enhance national solidarity, and work with local governments to build increasingly prosperous, modern, and civilized communities.
After nearly 80 years of nationhood and nearly 40 years of national renewal, under the brilliant leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and with the unified efforts of all citizens, Vietnam has achieved remarkable progress. Its enduring spirit and momentum create a firm foundation for even greater accomplishments as it strides confidently into a new era of rise.
