(VOVworld) – Hue high school for the gifted on Monday held a ceremony to commemorate General Vo Nguyen Giap.

The school’s teachers and students expressed their profound grief over his death. The school’s Vice Principle Nguyen Dinh Thi said: "We held a commemoration ceremony, laid a wreath and read from the biography of General Vo Nguyen Giap, having studied and followed the moral examples of President Ho Chi Minh and the General. The school’s traditional room is open for the teachers and students to see photos of the General".
Born to a Confucian family in the central province of Quang Binh, General Vo Nguyen Giap left Dong Hoi in 1925 to study at Hue national school and excelled in his study.
