Delegates declared that the instructions of President Ho Chi Minh in the testament have had a profound historical significance and had a great humanitarian spirit. These include building a strong Party, implementing socio-economic and cultural policies, developing human resources, being consistent in the drive towards socialism, and boosting international solidarity to promote international revolutionary cause. Professor Chu Duc Tinh is Former Director of Ho Chi Minh Museum: “President Ho Chi Minh’s testament was written over 5 years when he was still in good health and of sound mind. This serves as a review of reality and future orientations for our Party”.

Associate Professor Le Quoc Ly, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, said the prominent point in President Ho Chi Minh’s testament was the spirit of respecting and being close to the people. According to President Ho Chi Minh, the revolutionary cause was of the people, for the people and by the people. The success of the Party was attributed to the power of the people. Mr. Ly: “A strong and prosperous country was the great desire of our predecessors. Following President Ho Chi Minh’s teaching, we should do our best to make our country more prosperous and happier. This is our path and target to socialism which requires great effort by the Party and people”.
