(VOVworld) – A walking parade “90 million steps of Lac Hong posterity” took place on Saturday on Hoang Sa and Truong Sa roads in Ho Chi Minh city attracting more than 2,000 people.

The event aims to celebrate the birth of the 90 millionth Vietnamese citizen and make people aware of the important position and role of population and family planning to the country’s sustainable development. The parade also called on Vietnamese people to turn their hearts to beloved Hoang Sa or Paracel and Truong Sa or Spratly archipelago, show unity and strong determination for national construction and defence. In addition, a “90 million loving hearts” music show will also be held on Saturday to welcome this special event.
