Vietnam’s economic growth this year is forecast to reach 6.47% in scenario 1 and 6.83% in scenario 2. Exports for the whole year are projected to increase 7.21% and 8.43% in two scenarios. Average inflation is forecast at 4.08% and 3.69% respectively.

Associate Professor Dr. Le Xuan Ba said: “Innovation of institution is much important than innovation in science and technology. If we have good institution, we will have good science and technology. It’s necessary to strengthen  innovation in economic institution to promote innovation in other fields. Innovation means daring to think, daring to do new things, not following the old-fashioned way. It’s necessary to create mechanisms for innovation and to protect those who dare to think and dare to do for the common goals.”

The report "Vietnam's economy in 2022 and prospects for 2023" re-emphasizes that policy priorities need to continue to be focused on economic institution toward more friendly direction and effectively handling risks in the rapidly changing international economic environment.
