The honoured officers are Colonel Le Quoc Huy, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Vu Viet Hung, and Lieutenant Colonel Luong Thi Tra Vinh, who have shown outstanding performance in UN peacekeeping operations.

Addressing the event, UN Police Chief of Staff for UNMISS Murat Isik praised the contributions the Vietnamese police officers have made to the mission, saying they have consistently demonstrated professionalism, discipline, efficiency, and a strong sense of responsibility. He urged the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security to send more such officers to UNMISS.

The Ministry of Public Security team was deployed to UNMISS last October. So far, Vietnam has deployed seven police officers to UN peacekeeping operations, including six to UNMISS and one to the UN headquarters.
