Her book, entitled “My poisoned land”, tells the story of her life of 75 years, in which she has fought and pursued justice for AO/Dioxin victims.
Ms. Nga represented millions of Vietnamese AO/Dioxin victims in a lawsuit against US chemical firms for producing chemical toxins sprayed by the US army during the war in Vietnam.
Ms. Nga said that in writing the book, she wanted to inspire patriotism in the Vietnamese younger generation, adding that to integrate internationally Vietnamese young people should be vigilant and clear-sighted even though they have lots of development opportunities.
Ms. Tran To Nga, a former reporter for the Liberation News Agency, has participated in numerous charity activities to help disadvantaged children. She was presented with the Cross of the Legion of Honor by the French government.

Ms. Nga found out that she and her 2 children are affected by AO/Dioxin. In May 2009, she was a witness at a court in Paris in a case against 37 US chemical firms which provided chemical substances used by US troops during the Vietnam War.
In 2013 Ms. Nga continued to sue these US chemical firms and demand compensation for 4 million Vietnamese AO/Dioxin victims.
In 2014, France’s Crown Court of Evry accepted Ms. Nga’s petition. In September this year, she will return to France to attend the 9th court hearing.
