(VOVworld) - The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the EU delegation in Vietnam held a meeting on Saturday to mark World Tourism Day, September 27.

The event attracted the participation of many tourism students, local and foreign visitors. Nguyen Van Tuan is the General Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: “Themed “One Billion Tourists, One Billion Opportunities”, this year´s World Tourism Day stresses that tourism is a significant economic sector, contributing greatly to socio-economic development of the world and of each single nation. To respond to this message, the Vietnamese tourism sector needs to be more responsible to the environment and the society”.
