(VOVworld) – The 16th Forum for Nuclear Cooperation in Asia (FNCA) Ministerial Meeting started in Tokyo on Monday.

The 16th FNCA Senior Officials Meeting (SOM), which was organized by the Cabinet Office of Japan (CAO), was held at The Landmark Square Tokyo, Japan, on August 4-5, 2015.
(VOVworld) – The 16th Forum for Nuclear Cooperation in Asia (FNCA) Ministerial Meeting started in Tokyo on Monday. The Vietnamese delegation to the event is led by Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Chu Ngoc Anh. In his address to the forum, Mr. Ngoc Anh hailed Vietnam’s role in and contributions to the forum, citing a previous forum hosted by Vietnam in 2004 and its implementation of projects on climate and nuclear issues. The meeting focused on cooperation among forum members in applying nuclear technologies to climate change adaptations.

FNCA is a Japan-led cooperation framework for peaceful use of nuclear technology in Asia. The cooperation consists of FNCA meetings and the project activities with the participation of Australia, Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
