(VOVworld)- The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has held a conference to implement its key tasks set for this year. Accordingly, the organization aims to successfully organize the trade union congresses at all levels and the 11th National Congress of Vietnam Trade Union. Hoang Ngoc Thanh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor says: “2013 is the first year to implement the Law on Trade Union and the Law on Labor. The 11th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union for the term 2013-2018 will be held this year. We will also review the 5 years implementation of the Party’s resolution on building Vietnamese working class in industrialization and modernization. We will focus on successfully organizing trade union congresses at all levels and strengthen circulars on realizing the laws on Trade Union and Labor”.
In 2012, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor actively participated in building the Law on Trade Union and the Labor Code affirming its role in the political system and in protecting laborers’ interests. The organization has also facilitated trade union organizations to respond to emulation, assisted disadvantaged families, and fishermen in Hoang Sa and Truong Sa and generated jobs for laborers.
