National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man speaks at a ceremony in Hanoi to celebrate Vietnamese Doctors’ Day, February 27.

Chairman Man noted that Vietnam has established an extensive grassroots healthcare network, and many Vietnamese medical achievements have been recognized by the international community.

“The healthcare sector must continue to effectively implement Party guidelines and State policies and laws on healthcare. It must ensure that all citizens have access to the nearest and highest-quality medical services,” he said.  

The same day, Ho Chi Minh City honored 20 outstanding smart healthcare initiatives. The first prize was awarded to the municipal Health Department’s portal for medical and pharmaceutical practice information.

The city’s Communist Youth Union also presented the Pham Ngọc Thach Awards to exceptional young medical professionals.
