Three more Vietnamese military officers to take on UN peacekeeping missions

(VOVWORLD) -Three officers set out for UN peacekeeping missions this season included Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Viet Hung and Captain Pham Van Hao undertaking the task of military observers at the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission at South Sudan; Major Tran Van Giang undertook the task of military observers in the Republic of the Central African Republic.

The three officers from the Vietnam Peacekeeping Center under the Ministry of National Defense received their official dispatch order on Friday from Colonel  General Nguyen Phuong Nam, Deputy Chief of Staff of the People’s Army of Vietnam.  The officers have been ordered to protect civilians and peacekeeping facilities at all costs, and work in solidarity with fellow peacekeepers to accomplish their missions.
