(VOVworld)-The Government Committee on Religions and the EU have held an international workshop on religions and their contribution to Vietnam ’s development. Delegates on Thursday shared experience in ensuring freedom of beliefs and religions for the people while fine-tuning the legal system on the issue.

The Political Advisor to the EU Delegation in Vietnam , Jose Almagro Herrador said Vietnam has made significant progress in religions and beliefs issues thanks to positive policy changes. Deputy Director of the Government Committee on Religions, Nguyen Thanh Xuan, said that religious renovation in Vietnam is on par with political, economic and social renovation. Positive changes in religious policies are proof to reject distorted information on the religious situation in Vietnam .
