(VOVworld) - The International Techmart Vietnam 2012 opened in Hanoi yesterday. Entitled ‘Links for joint integration and sustainable development’, the event has attracted 500 domestic and foreign enterprises to introduce advanced technologies and equipment focusing on mechanical engineering, electricity, electronics, automation, chemicals, materials, pharmaceuticals and environmental treatment solutions. In his address at the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan said ‘The fair coincides with the Communist Party of Vietnam’s preparations to adopt a resolution on science and technology development which will serve the country’s industrialization and modernization. Developing a science and technology market is a key solution for Vietnam’s socialist-oriented market economy and international integration’.

The fair also seeks to link scientific studies and technological development with businesses and technological transfer with other countries. This year’s Techmart has seen the participation of partners from the US, Russia, India, Australia, and Israel.
